Joie Tavernise, founder of JTAV Clinical Skincare, embraces the belief that individuality defines beauty. Trained in cutting-edge aesthetic treatments, she tailors each experience to unite modern technologies with traditional approaches. Rejecting the one-size-fits-all mentality, Joie's bespoke treatments address the unique needs of every client. Her philosophy emphasizes a "less-is-more" approach, combining non-invasive procedures with overlooked traditional techniques. Dr. Gilberto Alvarez
Dr. Alvarez is a top board-certified dermatologist and expert injector, with over 10 years of experience in the medical and cosmetic dermatology field. He has a deep understanding of the skin and body, as he is both an internist and a dermatologist, having graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. Dr. Alvarez is a member of the Alpha Omega Honor Medical Society and a well-published doctor, holding several published articles in dermatology peer-reviewed journals. With a passion for language and traveling, Dr. Alvarez is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
When he is not seeing patients for consultations and injectables at JTAV Clinical Skincare, he is running a busy and successful practice in Tribeca, as well as teaching dermatology residents and leading facility meetings at NYU and Mount Sinai Hospitals. Dr. Alvarez manages all types of skin conditions and helps both women and men with a cosmetic regimen to help them achieve their goals of looking great throughout their aging process.

Rachele Facchini
Rachele has been practicing esthetics for more than half of her life, and has been with JTAV Clinical Skincare for almost 10 of those years. Her skills and passions match the JTAV balance of excellent, thoughtful care, combined with the latest technological advancements in the skincare industry, and because of this she is beloved by her clients. Rachele specializes in thoughtfully layering treatment modalities that are completely customized to each of her clients, as well as designing effective at-home skincare regimens. She is certified in many advanced modalities and has a wealth of experience training other estheticians. Rachele believes that healthy, glowing skin can be achieved at any age, and utilizes her vast knowledge to offset the signs of aging before they appear as well as effectively treating any existing skin concerns.

Mary Scott
Mary has over 12 years of experience, the last 6 of those years spent as a highly-sought after Skincare Expert at JTAV. Mary received her bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, pivoting to skincare shortly after graduating. She specializes in customized facials and non-invasive laser treatments. Prior to joining JTAV, Mary worked closely with a plastic surgeon where she learned how to combine the science of skincare with the aesthetic. When it comes to skincare, Mary is a strong believer in the power of consistency. She has found that clients have the best results when they combine in-office treatments with a regular at-home skincare regimen, which she loves to help clients develop and implement.

Vilma Diaz
Vilma has over 25 years of experience, she has developed a highly advanced and personal approach to skin care. Prior to joining JTAV Clinical Skincare, Vilma worked as a medical esthetician at an elite oculofacial plastic surgeon’s office, providing pre and post surgical care. She has extensive experience treating different skin types using customized facials, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, peels, microneedling and advanced laser treatments. Vilma is a highly trained esthetician who listens to her client’s specific requests and concerns to provide a level of personalized service that is unmatched. Vilma believes that investing in your skin is a benefit that lasts a lifetime and loves designing treatment protocols and at-home regimens for her clients.

Lauren Behringer
Lauren is a NYC native and has over ten years of experience as an esthetician, as well as being a Certified Holistic Health Coach, and firmly believes that healthy skin starts from within. Lauren holds a Bachelor's Degree from Iona University and is also the Founder and CEO of her brand Behrhaus. Prior to joining the team at JTAV Clinical Skincare, Lauren treated top celebrities and influencers at a prestigious dermatologist’s office. She is certified in a full range of lasers and cosmetic modalities and strives to optimize results by creating customized treatments powered by science and technique. Lauren specializes in pregnancy facials, red carpet event prep, at-home skincare routines, and customizing treatments to reveal her clients’ natural glow.

Alison Miller
Alison Miller has perfected her skills as an esthetician for the past 25 years and was one of the first Skincare Experts to join the team at JTAV Clinical Skincare over 15 years ago.
She is triple certified in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, as well as being certified in all top esthetic modalities. In addition to training closely with owner Joie Tavernise, Alison also spent time working under a renowned triple board-certified facial plastic surgeon.
Throughout her career, Alison has perfected her craft of combining medical-grade skincare and technology paired with a natural approach. She is an avid student of the industry and is always looking for ways to grow her skills and never stop learning.

Taylor Kelleher
Taylor joined the JTAV Clinical Skincare team with 8 years experience in the field. Her professional journey as an esthetician has ranged from high-end medical spas to luxury hotels, and she is certified in all top esthetic modalities, from lasers and IPL to chemical peels and body contouring. She holds an associates degree from Brooklyn College and is also NCEA-certified. Taylor’s mission is not just about providing skincare; it's about fostering confidence and well-being. Whether it's addressing specific concerns or simply indulging in a pampering session, her goal is to create an experience that goes beyond skincare, leaving a lasting impact on each individual.

Blanca is an integral part of the JTAV Clinical Skincare team, overseeing all spa operations from day to day. Her professional journey started when she was pursuing pre-med during her undergrad years, but changed paths when she realized that she had a passion for building brands and enrolled in the School of Design at Shillington. This combination of her interest in health and wellness mixed with marketing knowhow, has made Blanca the ideal Spa Director, helping JTAV to thrive and grow.

Originally a South Florida native, Hayley has called New York home for the past eight years. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, with a focus on econometrics and data analytics. With over six years of experience in client-facing managerial roles, she thrives in fast-paced environments and is dedicated to delivering exceptional service. As a passionate advocate for health and wellness, Hayley is excited to help JTAV clients look and feel their best. A lifelong New Yorker, Jamie graduated with honors from Hunter College, with a degree in Women’s Studies, and has extensive experience in client-facing roles and office management. Her calm and professional demeanor ensures that all clients are met with the utmost service and dedication to a positive experience.

Born and raised on the Upper East Side, Kiana is currently pursuing a degree in Human Biology at Hunter College, with the goal of becoming a Physician Assistant. Her passion for client care, combined with her knowledge of skin health, makes her a trusted resource for helping clients achieve their skincare goals with confidence and precision. A lifelong competitive swimmer, Kiana brings discipline and dedication to her role, ensuring each client receives personalized, attentive care. She is especially passionate about educating clients on product ingredients and effective skincare routines.
