She’s back at it! JTAV Clinical Skincare founder, Joie Tavernise, is helping the beauty gurus of the Upper East Side discover their new favorite treatments. This month Joie teamed up with NewBeauty magazine to show off one of her faves, the Geneo Balance Charcoal Facial from Lumenis.
This revolutionary treatment is as easy as 1,2,3 — here’s what you need to know:
This three-step treatment exfoliates, infuses, and lifts the skin. It tackles toxins, breakouts, and other skin impurities for a result that will have your skin glowing.
Exfoliate
Prior to the exfoliation, the skin is first gently cleansed. Then a primer gel is applied to help activate the exfoliating charcoal. This primer is filled with antioxidants such as Camu Camu to brighten the skin and protect against free radicals.
Following this application, it’s time for the charcoal oxygenation. The purifying charcoal pod is placed on the end of an applicator and used in circular motions on the face: this helps to draw out toxins, exfoliate dead skin and remove impurities. The charcoal itself is able to deeply clarify and smooth the pores for that coveted deep-clean feeling. This step preps the skin to receive all the active nutrients.
Infuse
During this step, a serum is applied to the face. The serum is filled with salicylic acid to unclog the pores of skin debris that causes acne and argan oil (or as Joie calls it, liquid gold) for soothing and rejuvenating the skin while also working as an anti-inflammatory.
After the serum is applied, a massage head is put on the applicator wand for a lymphatic massage. This seven-minute massage uses gentle strokes to reduce any toxins and impurities in the skin.
Lift
In the final step, an ultrasound wand is used for nourishment. It helps to facilitate the absorption of the serum and to soothe any inflammation. This final step also helps to smooth the texture of the skin. The result? A dewy, plump look, no makeup required.
We’re positive that you’ll want to schedule your own Geneo Balance Charcoal Facial after you see the results. For more information call us or visit us on the Upper Eastside: (212) 755-1155.
